1. Introduction / Purpose

Archx Short Gen (operated by Archnemix) respects your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and protect information when you use our website and services. By using Archx Short Gen, you agree to the practices described in this policy.

2. No Registration Required

Archx Short Gen does not require you to create an account, provide an email address, or register in any way. You can use all features completely anonymously. We don't ask for your name, email, or any personal identifiers.

3. Information We Collect

We collect minimal data necessary to provide the service:

• IP addresses – Temporarily stored for rate limiting (10 videos/hour for Realtime, 3 active jobs for Overnight) and abuse prevention. IPs are hashed for privacy.
• User-generated content – Scripts and text you provide for video generation. This content is processed to create your video and then deleted.
• Browser information – Basic device/browser data used only for debugging and improving performance.

4. Data Retention & Video Storage

⚠️ IMPORTANT: Videos expire after a set time. Download immediately! ⚠️

Realtime Mode:

• Videos are stored for 1 hour only after generation
• After 1 hour, the video file is permanently deleted and cannot be recovered
• Download your video immediately after it finishes processing

Overnight Mode:

• Videos are stored for 30 hours after the backend completes processing
• This gives you time to check your claim code and download even if you're away
• After 30 hours, the video is permanently deleted
• Save your claim code to check status and download later

Scripts & User Content: Your scripts are processed only to generate your video and are not permanently stored. We do not keep copies of your content beyond what's necessary to provide the service.

5. Rate Limits (Fair Usage)

To keep the service free and stable for everyone, we enforce reasonable limits:

• Realtime Mode: 10 videos per hour per IP address
• Overnight Mode: 3 active jobs at once per IP address

These limits prevent abuse and ensure all users can access the service. IP addresses are hashed for privacy and only used for rate limiting.

6. How We Use Information

• To generate videos – Your scripts are processed to create the final short video
• To prevent abuse – Rate limits ensure fair usage for everyone
• To improve the service – Anonymous usage data helps us fix bugs and optimize performance

We do NOT sell, rent, trade, or share your information with third parties for marketing or any other purposes.

7. Third-Party Services

To provide video generation, we use:

• Hugging Face Spaces/Datasets – Temporary video storage (1 hour for Realtime, 30 hours for Overnight)
• AI Voice APIs – For generating voiceovers from your script
• GitHub – For storing job manifests (Overnight mode only)

Your content is processed by these services solely to generate your video. They are contractually obligated to protect your data and use it only for the requested service.

8. Content Guidelines

We want Archx Short Gen to remain a safe, family-friendly tool. Please:

• No hate speech, harassment, or illegal content
• Keep scripts family-friendly – Our auto-filter removes inappropriate words
• No copyrighted material – Use your own original scripts

We reserve the right to refuse or remove content that violates these guidelines. Help us keep this tool accessible to everyone.

9. Data Security

We implement industry-standard security measures including HTTPS encryption, hashed IP storage, and restricted server access. However, no method of transmission over the Internet is 100% secure.

10. Children's Privacy

Archx Short Gen is not intended for users under 13. We do not knowingly collect information from children. If you believe a child has used our service, please contact us.

11. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy occasionally. Changes will be reflected in the "Last updated" date. Continued use of the service constitutes acceptance of the revised policy.
